While three people are running unopposed for three expiring terms on the Wayland City Council, incumbent Mayor Tim Bala is being challenged in his bid for re-election by Brian Sweebe.
District 7 includes the City of Plainwell, Village of Martin, and the townships of Gun Plain, Martin and Wayland townships.
District 6 includes the City of Otsego, Village of Hopkins and the townships of Hopkins, Otsego, Trowbridge and Watson.
This is a two-year term.
