Allegan: Fiber Fest
ALLEGAN—The annual Michigan Fiber Festival returns to the Allegan County Fairgrounds Aug. 16-20.
Of the many preregistered workshops from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday through Friday are dyeing, knitting, weaving, spinning, felting, fiber arts, crochet and basketry. Children can see sheep, goats and bunnies or make felted hot pad holders or woven coasters at the Expo Center.
Admission is free on Friday, with vendors open for sales from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The full festival is Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is $5 per person.
On Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Old Tractors R Us Club will host a tractor display and the Historical Village will be open. Don’t miss the sheep costume parade on Sunday at 11:30 a.m.
