Eldred "Clark" Frohnapfel, 75
Eldred "Clark" Frohnapfel, 75, of Hickory Corners, passed away May 8, 2014, at his home. He was born on Feb. 5, 1939, in Dover, Ohio, the son of the late Eldred and Anna Margaret (Adams) Frohnapfel.
Clark was a veteran of the United States Army.
On Aug. 12, 1961, he was united in marriage to the former Patricia Marks.
Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Pat Frohnapfel; their children, Lisa Smith of Portage, Matt Frohnapfel of Parchment, Bob (Paula) Frohnapfel of Cheyenne, Wyo., and Martin Frohnapfel of Toledo, Ohio; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and brother, Tom (Sue) Frohnapfel of Buckley.
Clark was a caring, hard working person. He earned his Eagle Scout badge in boy scouting, completed the Michigan State University elevator management course and worked in Agribusiness for more than 40 years. Clark retired from Knappen Milling in Augusta.
A funeral service for Clark will be Friday, May 16, at 9:30 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, 2122 Bronson Boulevard, Kalamazoo, with Rev. Larry Brelje officiating.
Friends may visit with the family on Thursday, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th Street, Kalamazoo.
Interment with military honors will follow in Fort Custer National Cemetery.
