Maude E. Butler, 99

Maude E. Butler, 99, of O'Fallon, Mo., went to be with the Lord May 31, 2014. She was born March 1, 1915, in Allegan, the fifth of 11 children born to Homer and Pearl (King) Evans.
On July 31, 1936, she married Ernest Butler in Kentland, Ind., and he preceded her in death in 2004.
Maude enjoyed golf and her grandchildren. She and her husband were longtime residents of Chicago, before retiring to Sanford, Fla. She loved to travel. One of her favorite trips was to Austin, Texas to visit family.
There will be a visitation on Thursday, June 5, at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Montgomery City, Mo., with the funeral service to follow at 11 a.m.
Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Montgomery City, Mo.  
Maude is survived by her children, Mary Ellen Wagner (husband, Hal) of St. Peters, Mo., Ernest E. Butler (wife, Chon Se) of Austin, Texas, and James A. Butler (wife, Mary Sue) of Aiken, S.C.; siblings, Helen Jerrett and Blanche Wilkinson, both of Michigan; grandchildren, Wendy Brase (husband, Scott) of Eureka, Mo., Penny Wagner of Clayton, Mo., Heidi Benoist of St. Charles, Mo., and Chip Wagner (wife, Hallie) of St. Louis, Mo.; four additional grandchildren in Texas; great-grandchildren, Trey, Tate and C.J.; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to her loving husband of 68 years, she was preceded in death by her parents and eight siblings.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church, 404 W. 2nd Street, Montgomery City, MO, 63361.
