Wildcats win Gold Division at tournament

BATTLE CREEK—Wayland softball coach Cheri Ritz never shies away from tough competition, intentionally scheduling tournaments she knows will challenge her team.
The Gull Lake Invitational on Saturday, April 26, was a perfect example.
Wayland beat Romeo, the sixth-ranked team in Division 1, by a 9-1 score to claim the Gold Division championship.
