This glass work created within a window frame by artist Sara Gambill Haveman will be part of the auction of artful windows at the sixth annual Art in the Garden.

'Art in the Garden' show features exhibitions

No matter what the weather is outside, Saturday, April 12, will be sunny and warm inside Griswold Auditorium with the sixth annual Art in the Garden artists’ market from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The juried fair is geared to gardeners and art enthusiasts alike and will feature garden-related sculptures and porch decor as well as fine art in the form of pottery, paintings, jewelry and glass art.

The fair, a fundraiser for the Allegan Area Arts Council, will have something new this year: three exhibitions.

At noon is a torch demonstration by area glass artist Susan Bombardt.

At 1 p.m. local artist and gardener Jude Hardin will share her knowledge regarding using containers to beautify property.

At 3 p.m., Paul and Stephanie Walker of Greenfrog Ponds will talk about building a pond.

Tickets for exhibitions cost $5 at the door starting at 10 a.m. Entrance to the glass demonstration is limited.

Entrance to the rest of the market is free.
