Fennville school district's MEAP scores show steady improvement

Walt Kaechele, Senior correspondent

Fennville school board members heard a presentation from the director of instructional services Wendy Dubuisson about how the district continues to show steady instructional and learning improvement.

Dubuisson said, “While we’re not as good as the state average, we are headed in the right direction.

“All of our MEAP/MME (Michigan Educational Assessment Program and Michigan Merit Exam) scores in math, reading and language skills have been on a steady increase for the past four years.”

Using a program based on the Mike Mattos “Response to Intervention,” Dubuisson outlined the areas where the district is continuing to “create an atmosphere for continuous improvement.”
