Lee Township man arraigned after crash in Valley Township
A Lee Township man has been arraigned on charges after a car crash that seriously injured a Portage man.
Adam Lee Tencate, 32, has been arraigned in Allegan County District Court, police said, on one count of reckless driving causing serious injury.
According to the Allegan County Sheriff Department, the victim in the crash, Benjamin Woodward, is still hospitalized while he recovers from his injuries.
The crash happened Monday, March 31, about 11:22 a.m. at the intersection of 43rd Street and 118 Avenue in Valley Township.
The sheriff department alleged that Tencate was speeding and failed to yield the right of way to Woodward, who was driving on 118th Avenue. They said Tencate’s pickup hit the right side of Woodward’s car.
