An automated external defibrillator was presented to the Allegan Youth Baseball program through funds from the Ron Melvin memorial. Allegan Youth Baseball names field, donates AED in his honor

The Allegan Youth Baseball League kicked off the 2014 season by honoring one of its staunchest supporters, Ron Melvin.
Melvin passed away in February of this year and in memory of his passion for youth baseball and the  development and creation of the youth baseball diamonds in the Allegan Sports Complex off Hooker Road, a ball field was dedicated in his honor.
