Ruth Randall Corlett (Amstutz), 97

Ruth Randall Corlett (Amstutz), 97, passed away on Jan. 8, 2016, in her home in Naples, Fla. Born in Chicago on Oct. 24, 1918, she grew up in Oak Park, Ill.
Ruthie graduated from Oak Park River Forest High School in 1936 and attended Purdue University.
She married W. David Corlett Jr. in 1941, and celebrated 57 wonderful years of marriage with him before his death. She married Ralph Amstutz in 2001.
Ruth is survived by six daughters, Susan Schultz (Laurence), Catherine Frecker, Cynthia Armstrong (Harry), Barbara Johnson (Eric), Paula Mintek (Rian) and Anne Corlett. She was blessed with 16 grandchildren, Larry (Suzie), Christie (David), David, Sam (Nick), Adam (Sara), Brendan (Tori), Joe (Aimee), Ben (Amie), Amy (Rich), Robin (Larry), Sarah, Abby, Stosh, Hannah, Peter and Jane. She adored her 17 great-grandchildren, Doug, Alex, Matt, Easton, Nathan, Jack, Kaitlyn, Simon, Andy, Ronnie, Sonny, Colin, Wesley, Corlett, Emily, Allen and Webster.
She was preceded in death by her husbands and brothers, Robert Randall and Richard Randall.
There will be no immediate service. Plans for a summer gathering to celebrate her life are underway.
