Mary Ethelyn Nevins Dunckel, 87

Mary Ethelyn Nevins Dunckel, 87, formerly of Plainwell, passed away suddenly Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2015, in her home in Weslaco, Texas. She was born in Posen, Mich., on July 9, 1928, to Kathryn and Neil Nevins.  
Mary attended County Normal (Central Michigan University) and taught at the Greenwood School in Long Rapids, Mich., until her marriage to Allen Dunckel on July 10, 1953.  
She had a great sense of humor and in fact took clown classes and was a clown at many events. She also loved to dance, decorate cakes and was a talented artist.  She loved to travel and even got her pilot license.
She is survived by her husband Allen Dunckel of Weslaco, Texas; two daughters, Kate Dunckel of Portage and Kristine Moore of Sunfield; two sons, Kurt Dunckel (Debbie) of Davison and Kevin Dunckel (Kathie) of Boston, Mass.; along with seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
