Alberta June Springer
Alberta June Springer left this world on Aug. 16, 2013, and today, Oct. 16, is her birthday.
She left behind two sisters, Bette Lou Rosenberg and Bernice Ruth Gann; daughter Laurie Ann Springer; her predeceased sister Pauline May Titus' sons, David Gee Ramussen, William Joseph Watts, Larry Lee Wilcox and Daniel Volk; her grandson Russell Titus Volk; great-grandson Titus David Volk; nieces and nephews; and countless friends whose lives were enhanced by her presence in their lives.
Born in Otsego on Oct. 16, 1925, to parents Daniel and Bernice Titus, she and her three young sisters were orphaned and raised in separate homes. Alberta was adopted by the Jacobs. In the 1960s, her youngest sister Bette Lou migrated to California where she and her husband Harold Rosenberg provided a launching pad for sisters Alberta and Bernice to come to San Diego and share their adult lives.
She retired from Union Bank in La Jolla after 26 years of employment.
A constant source of playfulness, mischief, humor and benevolence, she easily made friends. She enriched the lives of many.
Her niece Debra thanks those of you who reached out to her family and wants you to know that you and your kindness have not been forgotten.
She was so loved and is dearly missed.
