Charlotte Ann Raab, 81

Charlotte Ann Raab, 81, of Allegan, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2015, in Plainwell. She was born April 4, 1933, in Prairieville the daughter of Clyde and Bertha (Canfield) Meade.  
Charlotte raised 14 children, worked hard and took care of her husband Aubrey when he became sick before his passing in 1985. She still had a handful of her children still living at home at the time of her husband's death.   
Charlotte was truly an amazing mother and wife. She was also more than a grandmother to her grandchildren. Charlotte would give you what she could even when she had nothing herself. Her children humorously remember Charlotte never being in a hurry to go anywhere.  
Charlotte is survived by her 14 children, Perry (Annette) Raab, Charles Raab, Kathy (Ken) Boerma, Steven (Lisa) Raab, Michael (Andrea) Raab, Penny (Ed) Brown, Timothy (Lorie) Raab, Raymond (Renda) Raab, Jay (Jaycee) Raab, James (Piper) Raab, Gerald (Sue) Raab, Thomas (Jerri) Raab, Helen (Steve) Walters and Wesley (Missy) Raab; her 48 grandchildren; her 57 great-grandchildren; her great-great-grandchild; her brothers, Joe, Barry and Allen; and her sisters, Betty and Lucy.  
She was preceded in death by her husband Aubrey; her grandchildren, Ashlly Garlock, Renae Raab and Andrew Novotony; and several brothers and sisters, Joy, Catherine, Josephine, Jacqueline, Dean, Eugene and Clyde Jr.  
A graveside service was Friday, Jan. 23, at Poplar Hill Cemetery, Monterey Township. Pastor Sarah Farkas officiated.  
Memorial contributions may be made to Allegan County Animal Shelter, 2283 33rd St., Allegan, MI  49010.
