Cynthia C. "Cindy" Petrowsky, 57
Cynthia C. "Cindy" Petrowsky, 57, of Hopkins passed away Friday, Jan. 2, 2015, at Wings Home in Allegan. She was born Nov. 1, 1957, in Kalamazoo to Ernest and Ruth (Baldwin) Keckler and was a longtime resident of the area.
For many years she was employed as a nurse's aide and medical technician. She loved taking care of people. In her leisure time she enjoyed baking pies and cakes, and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandson. Her favorite pastime was "junking" with her sisters and had collected more than 1,000 Cabbage Patch dolls.
On June 25, 1973, in Grand Rapids she married Michael Petrowsky who survives. Also surviving are her son Brad Petrowsky of Hopkins; her grandson Michael "Mikie" Petrowsky; siblings, Rose, Ernie and Tina; a half-sister Danielle; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her son Michael in 1996.
Friends may visit with Cindy's family beginning at noon on Tuesday, Jan. 6, at Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego, where a funeral service will be at 1 p.m., with Hospice chaplain Greg Carlson officiating. Burial will follow at Hicks Cemetery in Watson Township.
