David Milbocker, 71
David Milbocker, 71, of Allegan passed away on Feb. 28, 2015. David was born March 29, 1943, in Allegan to Sylvester Milbocker and Margaret (Pack) Milbocker.
He served in the U.S. Army from 1963 to 1966 and was a Vietnam veteran.
When he returned from the service he went to work as an operating engineer for the next 40 years, most of which were at Milbocker and Sons.
David took pleasure in restoring John Deere tractors, loved fishing and was an avid hunter. He was a member of the Allegan Conservation Club and the Allegan Eagles.
Surviving are his children Sharon Milbocker and husband Chad Nordlum of Kotzbue, Alaska and William Milbocker of Quincy; three grandchildren, Beck Nordlum, Drey Schaeffer and Tayler Palmatier; four brothers and one sister, Bernard and Vera Milbocker, Julia Milbocker and Wayne Burton, Robert and Jean Milbocker, Gene and Shirley Milbocker and Michael and Onalee Milbocker; sister-in-law Darlene Milbocker; and close friends Ken and Judy Warner, all of Allegan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother James Milbocker and fiancé Fay Sherwood.
A memorial service will be planned at a later date.
