George D. Kapoun, 96, of Pullman went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 13, 2018.
George grew up in Chicago and proudly served in the Seabees Pacific theater during World War II. Due to his skill at baseball, he was chosen to join the Seabees baseball team and one of his proudest moments was defeating the Marines 5-1 during a pivotal game in Trinidad.

Retiring at age 62, George fulfilled his dream of living with Jane on Lower Scott Lake in Pullman. They were married for 51 years. With Jane’s passing in 2000, he met the second and last love of his life, Gerry Walter who shared his love of Lower Scott Lake sunsets for 15 years.
