Lenora Rose Griffin, 80
Lenora Rose Griffin, 80, of Allegan, died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2018, at Wings of Hope Home, Allegan.
Mrs. Griffin was born July 28, 1938, in Monterey Township, the daughter of Bill and Blanche (Stibal) Christman.
She was a member of the First Church of God, Allegan. She was also a member of the women’s group WOW (Women of Worship) and had been employed by MOKA as a Care Giver for 25 years.
She gave to many charitable organizations, ASPCA, Veterans Administration, St. Jude and Children of Promise are a few. She loved her dogs Lily Belle and Rocky, Chihuahuas. She played cards twice a week with family and friends and loved spending time with her family, kids, grands and greats.
Surviving are her children, Mark (Penny) Griffin of Allegan, Tom (Wendy) Griffin of Jacksonville, Fla., Eddie (Pam) Edson of Kalamazoo and Steven (Laurie) Edson of Lansing; three brothers, Wilfred (Jan) Christman of Allegan, Kenneth (Judy) Warner of New York, David (Francis) Warner of Los Angeles; sisters, Joyce Strand and Becky Warner of Allegan; grandchildren, Amanda (Scott) Pullen, Robbie (Destiny) Griffin, Tyler and Josh Edson, Brandon (Chelsea) Griffin; five greats, Gibson Les Paul, Elijah, Amaya, Aaron and Samantha; one great-great; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert in 2017; parents; baby Timothy Miles; sister and brother-in-law Lillian and Gary Pranshka; and three brothers, Richard, William Jr. and Ronald Christman.
A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, Sept. 15, at 2 p.m. at First Church of God, 1313 Marshall St., Allegan. In the fellowship hall, luncheon will be served.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Wings of Hope, Wings Home of Allegan or First Church of God’s Building Fund.
