Maxine Deringer, 84

Maxine Deringer, 84, of Allegan passed away Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015, at Grace of Douglas. She was born Oct. 3, 1930, in Selma, Tenn. the daughter of Grover and Leoma Williams and had lived in Allegan for the past 48 years.  
Maxine enjoyed crafts, gardening and especially spending time with her grandchildren.  
Maxine was always willing to help her neighbors and will be greatly missed by everyone that had the pleasure of knowing her.  
Surviving are her five daughters, Rose Deringer of Wayland, Deb Chrisman of Holland, Judy (Jerry) Oisten of Allegan, Betty (Joel) Merchant of Allegan and Deb Deringer of Allegan; six grandchildren, Jennie, Christy, Amanda, Stacey, Lisa and Becky; 10 great-grandchildren, Maci, Anthony, Logan, Ian, Emily, Kinley, Christopher, Jennifer, Jonathan and Julie; four great-great-grandchildren, Noah, Phillip, Julian and Elijah; a brother Grady (Leila) Williams of Riverdale, Ga.; and a sister Omie Schwartz of Allegan.  
She was preceded in death by her husband Samuel H. Deringer, three brothers and two sisters.  
Following her wishes cremation has taken place. A private graveside service will be at a later date at Hudson Corners Cemetery.
