Michael Dean Vahue, 71
Michael Dean Vahue, 71, died July 25, 2015, in Cleveland, Ohio. He had been in the ICU for 16 days while trying to recover from surgery to repair an abdominal aortic aneurism. For most of that time he was in a medically induced coma to help his lungs heal; but his body was not able to recover. He died peacefully, surrounded by his immediate family and wonderful medical care providers.
He was a graduate of Allegan High School, class of 1962. He served in the United States Air Force and received the Silver Star in the Vietnam War. Michael retired from the Federal Bureau of Investigations in which he served for more than 30 years.
Surviving are his wife Jean of Rocky River, Ohio; daughter, Shannon; son Chad and wife Ellen; four grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Vahue.
