Violet S. Blowers, 95

Violet S. Blowers, 95, of Allegan and formerly of Otsego, went to be with her lord and saviour, on Friday, Jan. 23, 2015, at Allegan County Medical Care Community.
Mrs. Blowers was born May 15, 1919, in Kalamazoo, the daughter of Anthony and Victoria (Burtowski) Santek. She was a lifelong member of St. Margaret's Catholic Church in Otsego.  
Violet worked for more than 26 years at Upjohn, retiring in the late 1980s. She loved her family, and enjoyed working in her yard and garden. In September 1949, Violet married Ray Blowers who preceded her in death in 1976.  
Surviving are her two daughters Constance (Blowers) and Art Euler, and Colleen and Larry Fast; two grandchildren, Ray and Sarah; her brother Joe and Lynn Santek; and several nieces and nephews.  
She was preceded in death by her three sisters, Mary, Theresa, and Julia; and her two brothers, Ed and Paul.  
Friends may meet with the family on Sunday, Jan. 25, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel,, where the Rosary will be recited at 3 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be Monday, Jan. 26, at noon at St. Thomas More Catholic Church in Kalamazoo, with a public visitation one hour prior to the Mass at Church. The Rev. Ken Schmidt will be celebrant. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Kalamazoo.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pretty Lake Camp, 9123 Q Ave., Mattawan, MI 49071.
