Zeal Ira Langshaw, 103

Zeal Ira Langshaw, 103, of Hickory Corners, passed away Dec. 15, 2014. Zeal was born March 26, 1911, in Monterey Township, Allegan County, the son of Desbert James and Margaret (Schafer) Langshaw.
A farmer in south Monterey Township and Hickory Corners, Zeal was also employed by Rockwell (Blood Brothers) in Allegan during World War II. Zeal retired to Plant City, Fla. in 1978.
On March 31, 1934, Zeal married Marian Philley and she preceded him in death on Jan. 14, 1983, after 49 years of marriage. On April 10, 1984, Zeal married Irma Rudert and she preceded him in death on June 27, 2008, after 24 years of marriage.
Zeal is survived by children, Norman (Diana) Langshaw, James (Kaye Reed) Langshaw and Larry (Barbara) Langshaw; grandchildren, Todd (Debbie) Langshaw, Rebecca (Tony) Jones and Victoria (Jeff) Thomas; a great-granddaughter Elizabeth Langshaw; step-children, Joel (Christina) Rudert, Brian (Miriam) Rudert, Cheryl (Eric) Wurzbacher and Michelle Carpenter; 12 step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Zeal was also preceded in death by his parents; a son, Harold Langshaw; brothers, Arnold Langshaw and Everett Langshaw; a stepson Eric Rudert and a step-grandson Matthew Rudert.
Zeal's family will receive friends Friday, Dec. 19, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Williams Gores Funeral Home in Delton where Zeal's funeral service will be Saturday, Dec. 20, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jeff Worden officiating. Burial will be in East Hickory Corners Cemetery.
