If Wayland senior Sydney Urben was going to win the Division 2 singles girls’ bowling state championship, she was going to have to go through Flint Kersley to do it.
And so she did.
It was a history-making day for the Allegan boys’ bowling team when it hosted Vicksburg on Monday, Jan. 8.
The Tigers won 16.5-13.5, posting a program-best 1,792 series in the process.
As a freshman last spring, Sydney Urben was part of the Wayland softball team that captured the Division 2 state championship.
The first two games bowled by Otsego sophomore Charlotte Phillips at the six-game Division 3 individual regional competition at Eastland Bowl on Saturday, Feb.
The Otsego boys’ bowling team entered the Wolverine Conference Championships at Paw Paw’s Rainbow Lanes on Friday, Feb. 19, tied with Three Rivers for second place behind Sturgis.
It was a record-setting evening for the Otsego boys’ bowling team on Tuesday, Jan. 19.
