Fennville: Summer Reading blastoff

FENNVILLE—“A Universe of Stories” summer reading program begins Thursday, June 13, with a blastoff party at Fennville District Library.
Youth may sign up for the summer reading program any time that day as well as participate in space-themed activities at the library. Everyone who signs up will receive a reading bag.
The summer reading program welcomes adult readers as well. Adults will have a chance to win prizes, and those who complete the challenge have a chance to win a grand prize.
Every week, the library will host exciting programs, starting with the following performances in June:
Thursday, June 20 at 1 p.m.: Magical Rain Theaterworks will bring a performance of Latino stories, jests, and words of wisdom and wit.
Thursday, June 27 at 1:30 p.m.: Gemini is a musical duo who write and play acoustic music for children and families, celebrating the fun, warmth and humor of family life.
Tuesday, June 25 at 1:30 p.m.: Author and illustrator Ruth McNally Barshaw will share inside secrets for all budding young writers and artists. Fans of the author’s Ellie McDoodle books will be able to meet and chat with her after the session.
Regular library programming will continue throughout the summer as well.
