Hopkins: July 4 celebration

HOPKINS—On Tuesday, July 4, Independence Day starts with a free community breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m. at the Fire Barn.

8 a.m.-10 a.m. —Free Breakfast at the Fire Barn

9 a.m.-10:30 a.m. — Non- Denominational Worship Service w/ Praise singing

11 a.m.-2:00 p.m. — Hometown Team Scavenger Hunt (all ages)

Noon-1:00 p.m. —Pie contest judging (pies due by 11:30 a.m.)

Noon-3:30 p.m. —Family Carnival & Games

Noon-7:00 p.m. —patriotic pet photo contest (see Facebook page to enter)

2:00 p.m. FFA Sponsored- Kids Tractor pedal pull (west side of Fire Barn)

3:00-4:00 p.m. —Music by “No Bodies’ Band, main stage

4:00 p.m. — (no motorized vehicles, line up at fire barn)

5:00 p.m. —Main Parade (line up at high school)

7:00 p.m. —Queen’s Pageant

All Day Inflatable Frenzy Bounce Houses, Petting Zoo, Cow pie Bingo, Antique tractor Display, Concessions, FFA Silent Auction (Auction ends 8 p.m.)
