Trojans sweep past Bulldogs

The players at the bottom of a batting order are generally regarded as the weaker hitters on a team.
Someone must have forgotten to share that information with Plainwell’s Sophie Monroe.
Hitting eighth in Trojan coach Bernie Christopher’s lineup, Monroe went a combined 4-for-5 with a walk, two runs and two RBI to help Plainwell sweep past Otsego in a Wolverine Conference East twinbill on Friday, April 18.
The Trojans won game one 4-1 before posting the 14-4 victory in a five-inning, mercy-rule-shortened affair in game two.
