Fall hops in to Otsego
Otsego Main Street’s Fall Fest filled up the afternoon Sunday, Oct. 5, with many events along the riverfront.
In the event’s pie-making contest Tawnya Fleckenstein took first place, Jodi Morris took second and Sharon Pixler took third, according to judges Herve Dardis, Rick Whitney, Heather Badders and Karen Raseman. There was also a pumpkin-decorating contest, with Jacob Robbins taking first Alex Robbins taking second and Alexis Cunningham placing third. The decorated pumpkins will be seen around downtown soon and Main Street manager Molly Wieber said “Angry Birds”-themed pumpkins were popular. Main Street raised $364 through the pie auction, with Connie Brenner winning the lotto.
The event also featured family scarecrow making, the results of which will also be seen around downtown. People are invited to vote starting Monday, Oct. 13, for their favorite scarecrow in downtown Otsego.
