Lake Doster condo plan tabled until September
Gun Plain Township planning commissioners tabled discussion of a site plan for a proposed 11-unit condominium development near Lake Doster.
Township supervisor Mike VanDenBerg said the plans had lacked some features required by township ordinance and the planning commission wants wetland issues straightened out with the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality ahead of time.
“Some of the lots were wetlands, so it needs DEQ approval,” he said.
The developers had gotten the township an updated plan, VanDenBerg said, showing buildable areas.
“They updated it before the meeting, but there was still stuff missing,” he said.
Planned for the west side of Midlakes Boulevard just north of Hestia Drive, the development is called Rhapsody in Green. Site plans need to be approved by the township board, which takes recommendations from the planning commission.
The planning commission is set to consider the site plan again at its next meeting Wednesday, Sept. 17, at 7 p.m. at the township hall.
