Maxine C. (Datema) Jeltema, 90

Maxine C. (Datema) Jeltema, 90, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away gracefully into the arms of our Eternal Father in Heaven on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2014, at her home overlooking Clearbrook Golf Course.
She was preceded in death by her husband of more than 50 years, Wesley G. Jeltema, 75, in 1996.
Born Oct. 6, 1923, to Roy and Marie Datema of Grand Rapids, Maxine is survived by daughter and caregiver Judith Jeltema and son and daughter-in-law, James and Candace Jeltema, all of Saugatuck Township; grandsons, James Jeltema Jr. and John W. Jeltema of Los Angeles; sister Betty DeWitt of Palm Beach Garden, Fla.; brother Roy Datema Jr. of Vero Beach, Fla.; and their children and grandchildren.  
She will be missed daily for her uncompromising love, her devotion to family, her generous spirit, her wisdom and common sense, and mostly for her joyous laughter.
Following cremation, a family burial service officiated by her pastor, Dr. Timothy Brown, is planned to take place near Christmas, Maxine's favorite time of year.
Gifts in Maxine's memory are encouraged to Western Theological Seminary, 101 E. 13th St., Holland, MI  49423, and to Hospice of Holland.
