Police are searching the Kalamazoo River Friday, April 7, between Otsego and Plainwell for a man who was seen in the river last night and is feared dead.

The final score of the Southwest and Central Michigan Swim League boys’ meet between Otsego and Plainwell went to the Bulldogs by a 97-84 final.
Some people like surprises. Others don’t.
It all came down to this.
Through 11 of the 12 events in its Southwest and Central Michigan Swim League meet against Plainwell on Tuesday, Jan. 31, Allegan trailed, 87-82.

Spotting your opponent a 17-0 lead at the end of the first quarter is generally a recipe for disaster.

The boys’ swimming teams from Allegan, Otsego and Plainwell—along with South Haven—all traveled to Alma on Saturday, Jan. 28.
Defending Wolverine Conference champion Paw Paw took the top spot at the Vicksburg jamboree on Wednesday, Jan. 18.
But a pair of local teams occupied the next two spots in the standings.
