Break-in points to problem for RV owners
Police said a break-in on Glen Arbor in Gun Plain Township pointed to a problem unfortunately faced by recreational vehicle owners.
The township’s contract Allegan County sheriff’s deputy, Joe Bronson, gave a report at the Thursday, Aug. 3, board meeting.
“Unfortunately, the RV being gone tells a lot of people that you’re out of town,” Bronson said.
The break-in appears to have happened on Friday, July 18, and anyone who has any information is asked to call the Allegan County Sheriff’s Office.
Bronson said there weren’t many breaking and entering reports in the township which appeared to be committed by strangers, as opposed to someone known to the homeowner, but this appeared to be one.
The home was trashed pretty badly, he said, and property was stolen.
Bronson told board members he’d taken 142 calls in June and 122 calls in July.
